Privacy policy
The short version: the only personal data this site collects is what you type into the enquiry form, it is used solely to reply to you, and it is never shared or sold.
Who is responsible for your data
ToolTrackTech operates this website. If you have a question about anything on this page, email ian@tooltracktech.com and you will get a reply from a person.
What is collected, and when
Nothing is collected until you choose to send it. The only route by which this site gathers personal data is the enquiry form, which asks for your name, email address, contact number, subject, and the message you write.
Server logs generated by the hosting provider record IP addresses and requested URLs for security and diagnostics. These are not linked to enquiry data.
Why it is collected and how it is used
Your details are used for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry about covert GPS tracker fitting and, if we go on to work together, to deliver that work. You are not added to a mailing list, and your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Submitting the form sends your details to the site owner by email, and sends a copy of your own message back to you as an acknowledgement.
Spam protection
The enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to distinguish real submissions from automated ones. Google receives the technical information it needs to score the request, subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms. A hidden field is also used as a simple bot trap; it is never shown to you and never needs filling in.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not use analytics scripts.
reCAPTCHA may set cookies on Google's domains as part of its scoring.
How long it is kept
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as there is a live conversation or an active fitting, and for six years afterwards where records are needed for tax and accounting. You can ask for your enquiry to be deleted sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is being used. Email the address above and it will be actioned within one month. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Material changes will be summarised at the top.
